New England Patriots cornerback Marcus Jones was fined $9,151 for a low-block penalty against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. It was called against Jones after he took out Pat Freiermuth’s legs, giving the Steelers a first down and a 15-yard penalty on an otherwise mundane screen.

Jones was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness.

Jones and others have been called for this play, including Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey. Ramsey was not fined for this penalty in Week 1, however, and hea
