PINE LAWN, Mo. -- Residents of Pine Lawn are demanding action from local leaders to address pressing community issues, including gun violence and derelict properties.

A community reunion was held yesterday at Pelton John Municipal Park, organized by longtime resident Abe Givins. The event aimed to highlight the need for change and encourage community involvement to tackle the city's challenges.

"We don't have community outlets for the residents. We have a bunch of derelict property. We don't have proper policing," said Abe Givins, who hosted the event. "It's a number of things that are happening in our community that we want to encourage change."
