Troy Deeney has called on ‘nice boy’ Benjamin Sesko to show more ‘arrogance’ in his performances following Manchester United’s 3-1 defeat to Brentford.

The Red Devils’ dismal start to the top-flight season sank to a new low with their third loss after only six matches, with Ruben Amorim facing further questions over his future at Old Trafford.

Sesko had given United a glimmer of hope after Igor Thiago’s early double for Brentford, the Slovenian’s first-ever goal in the Premier League following a £74million move from RB Leipzig in the summer.

But United were unable to gain any momentum on the back of Sesko’s close-range effort and Mathias Jensen put the game to bed deep into stoppage time – after Bruno Fernandes’ second-half penalty miss – to inflict yet more misery on the visitors.
