PALMDALE – A 21-year-old man was found dead on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Palmdale Saturday, about 30 yards away from a two-vehicle collision.

The crash was reported at 4:36 a.m. Saturday on the Antelope Valley Freeway just south of East Palmdale Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.

A blue Honda Civic was found blocking the No. 1 lane, a white Tesla was in the center divider and a white charter bus was pulled over on the right shoulder after the collision, a witness told the CHP.

At first, it appeared there were no injuries, then the body was discovered lying in the No. 1 lane, authorities said.

The victim was identified as Danny Montoya, according to the Medical Examiner’s office. His city of residence was not available.

The cause of the crash was not immediate
