The Sioux City Musketeers are hoping to go back to the future.

With the start of the 2025-26 season, the Muskies are sporting a new look this season — a lighter shade of green that harkens back to the look the team donned in the 1980s.

Though the look is expected to stick around for years to come, the team has plans to honor the 1985-86 Musketeers team throughout the season and as the organization celebrates the 40th anniversary of a team widely regarded as one of the best to ever compete in the USHL.

That team went 42-6-0 during the regular season and won the Anderson Cup (for the league’s most regular season wins) and the Clark Cup (playoff champions).
