Strictly Come Dancing returned with a flourish as last night's live show saw the 15 new celebrities hit the dance floor for their inaugural dances with their professional partners.
The Apprentice star, Thomas Skinner, and his partner Amy Dowden performed a Paso Doble to Hotei's Battle Without Honor or Humanity, earning a score of 16 out of 40 from the judges.
Anton Du Beke advised him: "I need a bit more next week," while Craig Revel Horwood critiqued in his typical style: "It was very square, flat and stumpy and it was more tin soldier than it was matador. It wasn't for me at all."
A more optimistic Motsi Mabuse conceded: "What we needed was more shaping," whilst Shirley Ballas praised: "I was quite impressed, well done."
However, viewers at home felt the judges were overly lenient on
