It should be a tight race at Franconia Golf Course in Springfield on Monday, as the PVIAC Western Massachusetts Girls Individual Golf Championship will be contested with one of the toughest fields in recent memory.

The 18-hole stroke play event kicks off with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on the par 72 course. The tournament will coincide with the PVIAC Boys Invitational 2-Ball, which will also be contested at Franconia on Monday.
