It happened again. Even a decade after leaving and with his old boss gone, former Alabama football defensive coordinator and current Georgia head coach Kirby Smart is having trouble beating his old employer .
Alabama beat Georgia 24-21 Saturday night in Athens and the Bulldogs lost despite the Crimson Tide’s inability to score a single point in the second half. Afterward, Smart asked if he was concerned that the losses could linger with his program.
Smart is 1-7 against Alabama since taking over UGA in 2015. The one win came in the 2021 national championship game.
