PITTSBURGH Steelers player Skylar Thompson was robbed in Dublin on Friday.
Quarterback Thompson, 28, is with the NFL team for their game against the Minnesota Vikings.
And he suffered a horror ordeal when he was attacked in the city.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero first reported the news.
He added that Thompson suffered minor injuries and remained with the team.
And a spokesperson for the Pittsburgh Steelers confirmed the incident.
“We are aware of a situation involving Skylar Thompson on Friday night in Dublin," Steelers Spokesman Burt Lauten said.
"We will have no further comment at this time as we are working with NFL security to gather more information regarding the incident.”
Thompson is the team's third choice quarterback behind Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph.
