The University of Michigan’s football team is undefeated at home this year.

But the biggest Big House win of the season (so far) came Saturday night, Sept. 27, from a guy with a guitar, and sporting Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson’s number on his shirt.

Just 15 months after playing at Detroit’s Ford Field, Americana star Zach Bryan performed the first full-scale music concert ever at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor ending decades of discussion and lamentation about why one of the country’s largest sporting venues had been left out of the music fray. It also likely set a record for the largest ticketed concert ever in the U.S. breaking country singer George Strait’s mark of 110,905 during June of 2024 at Texas A&M’s King Field in College Station.
