The Michigan State Spartans had a week off after taking a closer-than-expected defeat against heavy favorite USC on the road.
After some time to get right ahead of the bulk of Big Ten play, the Spartans (3-1, 0-1 Big Ten) will get on the road again to face a Nebraska (3-1, 0-1) squad that’s followed a similar script this season.
Both teams led off 3-0 before taking a ranked loss in their conference openers and have now had a week to sit in it.
But the Cornhuskers’ home-field advantage and a top-20 offense and defense has made them a 10.5-point favorite — according to FanDuel lines on Sunday — when the Spartans come to town on Saturday (4 p.m., FS1).
