Two local filmmakers have used their storytelling talents to create a documentary that delves into the homeless issue in Chatham-Kent.

Twins sisters Kat and Karissa Strain, founders of The Sisters Strain film company, are hosting a free public screening of Unhoused: Communities in Crisis on Oct. 10 in Tecumseh Park at 8 p.m. The documentary will also be show at the same time on the local Cogeco Cable YourTV channel.

Controversy continues to swirl around a decision in July by Chatham-Kent municipal officials to move an encampment from near the Third Street Bridge in downtown Chatham to a greenspace property surrounding the Chatham-Kent Public Utilities Commission on Grand Avenue East that backs on to numerous residential properties.
