A massive recall of 58 million pounds of meat products was initiated after reports of injury from consumers. The products include both corn dogs and sausage on a stick products produced by The Hillshire Brands Company , which owns popular brands like Jimmy Dean and State Fair, both of which are involved in the recall.

According to the recall , the products may be contaminated with "extraneous material, specifically pieces of wood embedded in the batter." Advertisement
