Tyler Reddick’s family is going through one of the hardest things imaginable. His wife, Alexa, recently posted that their newborn son, known affectionately as “ Rookie ,” is in the cardiovascular ICU at Levine’s, fighting for his life.

From what Alexa shared, things had been troubling for a while. She says signs were pointing to something serious, but the pediatrician’s office kept brushing them off. She writes, “After a run around for months with the pediatrician’s office, I knew what was going on was something bigger.”

Eventually, it emerged that Rookie was showing signs of heart failure, symptoms she believes were missed earlier. “Our sweet Rookie was showing signs of heart failure that were being missed,” she said. That discovery led to their current stay in the cardiovascular ICU
