Low water pressure reported across the Western Branch area

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Western Branch residents reported little to no water pressure around 11:50 a.m., according to the city of Chesapeake.

City crews have determined the water pressure was due to a communications issue between systems. Officials say the water should return around 2 p.m., if residents do not already have normal water pressure.

Residents should run their water for a few seconds if they notice any discoloration, as officials say this is normal and poses no health risk.

Residents are urged to call 757-382-6161 if they are still experiencing a drop in water pressure after 2 p.m.
