Man reported shot multiple times at Mattydale convenience store

Mattydale, N.Y. — A man was reported shot Sunday morning at a convenience store in Mattydale.

Around 11:36 a.m., a person called 911 to report a man was shot at the Mattydale Express at 2107 Brewerton Road, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatch reports. The man was inside the store, they said.

Deputies told dispatchers that emergency medical services should “step it up,” according to dispatch reports.

Deputies told dispatchers to alert staff at Upstate University Hospital that the victim would be arriving with multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen and chest.

Dispatchers said the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

More than 10 cruisers from the Onondaga County Sheriff’s department, along with two crime scene vans, were on the scene.
