A Camden County middle school will be closed for a third day on Monday due to “substantial damage” from a water main break last week.
Winslow Township Middle School in Atco has been shut down since a pipe burst on Thursday, officials said.
Students and staff will return to school on a hybrid schedule after officials receive final approvals from environmental specialists, interim Superintendent Mark Pease said in a video statement .
The schedule will consist of alternating in-person and virtual days for at least the next 30 days, Pease said.
In preparation for virtual instruction, students and parents will be able to pick up Chromebooks on Monday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the school’s cafeteria entrance.
