FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The Arkansas Razorback's Football Team has announced today that Head Coach Sam Pittman has been dismissed by Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek.

The announcement, coming just one day after the Razorback's lost 56 -13 to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino has been appointed as the interim Head Coach for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.

In a statement from the University, Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek stating:

“I want to thank Coach Pittman for his service and dedication to the University of Arkansas throughout his time as head coach,” Yurachek said. “From Day 1, you could tell how much this opportunity meant to him. At this time, however, I feel a change is necessary to put our student-athle
