Penn State took a big hit in the national polls after a 30-24 loss to Oregon in overtime in the White Out.
The Nittany Lions came in at No. 7 in the nationally recognized Associated Press Top 25 Poll and No. 6 in the US LBM Coaches Poll . That’s a four-spot drop in the AP Poll after entering the game as No. 3.
Oregon, meanwhile, jumped four spots in the AP Poll to No. 2.
Ohio State remained No. 1, followed by Oregon, Miami, Ole Miss and Oklahoma to round out the top five.
Elsewhere in the Big Ten, Indiana moved up three more spots to No. 8, Michigan dropped one spot to No. 20 and Illinois gained a spot to No. 22. USC fell out of the rankings after a loss to Illinois. The Trojans and Maryland received votes, however.
