A group of men, led by five accused, allegedly barged into a garba venue without passes, thrashed organisers and revellers, and vandalised the venue in Bopal area of Ahmedabad City.

The incident took place between 11.15 pm and 1.45 am, on the intervening night of September 26 and 27.

The FIR was filed later in the morning on September 27, at Sarkhej Police station based on a complaint by Hiteshsinh Dashrathsinh Parmar (33), who runs a restaurant and is one of the organisers of “Ras Ra” garba at Basera party plot in Bopal.

Parmar said that he was exiting the venue on Friday night when he noticed several youth trespassing into the party plot by climbing over the boundary wall.
