The NFL kicked off early this morning in Dublin, Ireland, with a matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The two teams took the field thousands of miles from home at Croke Park, but before kickoff they were welcomed to the Emerald Isle with a memorable performance of the National Anthem.

Robert Mizzell was a logical choice for the honors. Once voted “Ireland's Favourite Country Music Singer,” he's a native of Louisiana, but, after serving in the U.S. Army, has called Ireland his home for decades.

His performance is getting a lot of attention because he seemed to have the song's lyrics written in his cowboy hat and apparently referred to them a few times during the performance.
