BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football moved up three spots to No. 9 in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll after a 20-15 win over Iowa Saturday.
The Hoosiers (5-0; 2-0 Big Ten) won at Kinnick Stadium for the first time since 2007 and snapped a four-game losing streak in the series. They also moved up three spots to No. 8 in the AP Poll .
It's the first time in program history IU has earned a top 10 ranking in back-to-back seasons. The Hoosiers jumped three of the four top 10 teams ( Florida State , LSU and Georgia) that lost over the weekend and have been ranked nationally in both polls for a team-record 18 straight weeks going back to last season.
Indiana will have two weeks to prepare for a showdown at Autzen Stadium against No. 2 Oregon.
