Books-A-Million is on the move in Hobart, yet again.

The Alabama-based bookseller took over the former Borders storefront in the front of Southlake Mall when that Ann Arbor-based chain went bankrupt in 2011. Three years later, Books-a-Million moved from the prominent spot now occupied by H&M to a smaller, less visible space in the back of the super-regional mall at U.S. 30 and Mississippi Street, near the Dick's Sporting Goods.

Dick's has since moved across the street to The Crossings at Hobart, the sprawling outdoor shopping mall on the other side of U.S. 30.

Now Books-A-Million is following suit, leaving the enclosed mall for a neighboring outdoor mall. It's moving next month to a storefront next to Guitar Center at 2008 E. 80th Ave., which has a Merrillville address but is in Hobart.
