The CBI has registered an FIR against two doctors and a storekeeper for allegedly duping All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh, by extending undue favours to a private medical company and also hiding the tender files. One of the two doctors is a former director of AIIMS-Rishikesh. CBI registered an FIR on September 26 against ex-director Ravi Kant, Rajesh Pasricha (currently professor with AIIMS Bhopal) and former store keeper-cum-clerk Roop Singh.

The CBI took approval from the Union Health Ministry before booking Kant – a Padma Shri awardee in 2016 – under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
