Phil Mickelson ain’t walking through that door.

If anyone thought Mickelson might play savior and captain Team USA at Adare Manor two years from now in the Ryder Cup, think again.

Mickelson shot down that notion before it even rose to the status of a rumor on Sunday.

“No rumors,” Mickelson posted on X in response to a Golf.com post noting the idea. “My Ryder Cup involvement is over. I’m happy being a spectator and rooting for Team USA.”

Given how things are going for Team USA at this year’s Ryder Cup, no one can be blamed for looking ahead two years and throwing out ideas on how things can improve.
