LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Peterson Dumesnil House held the first of a series of historical talks in Crescent Hill on Sunday.

People got to tour the 156-year-old home and learn about the architecture of other houses in the neighborhood.

Those touring also received a copy of a book about the area that was originally published 100 years ago.

Local author and historian Steve Wiser led the talk.

“Old houses in Crescent Hill and Louisville are just magic,” Wiser said. “They’re full of history. They’re well-built. And nothing any prettier.”

There will be two other events in the series.

One will be a historical grave tour at Cave Hill Cemetery on October 12, and the other will be a Haunted Happy Hour at the house on October 26.
