CLEVELAND — Don't call it a comeback. Call it the largest divisional comeback in baseball history.

For the second consecutive season, the Cleveland Guardians are American League Central champions.

Cleveland clinched the division on the final day of the regular season courtesy of the Tigers' 4-3 loss to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Cleveland ended their season with a flourish on Brayan Rocchio's three-run walk-off home run to beat the Texas Rangers 9-8 in extra innings.

The Guards went into Sunday having already secured a spot in the postseason via CJ Kayfus' walk-off hit-by-pitch against the Rangers Saturday night. With one game remaining, Cleveland and Detroit were tied with the Tigers atop the AL Central with identical 87-74 records. Cleveland owned the head-to-head tiebreaker
