The New York Giants may have won Jaxson Dart's first career NFL start in thrilling fashion, but they unfortunately couldn't leave Sunday with all good news.

After star receiver Malik Nabers went down on a non-contact injury in the second quarter, it was later revealed that the playmaker had likely torn his ACL. That injury is quite obviously of the worst-case scenario variety, as it will end Nabers' 2025 season less than four games into the campaign.

But not everyone in the Giants' postgame locker room was aware of Nabers' status right away. News like this trickles out slowly, you know? Or at least, not as fast as you'd think.

This gave a Giants reporter the chance to give New York edge defender Kayvon Thibodeaux an update on Nabers' injury in real time. And for someone who literally just learned about Nabers' season being over, Thibodeaux surprisingly kept his cool on camera, even with some not-so-family-friendly language that is bleeped out for good reason:

Nabers is one of the Giants' true franchise players and building blocks. I would imagine that the entire team was pretty devastated once they learned about the extent of his injury. Yes, you need to have a next-man-up mentality in the NFL, but it's not always easy when you have to replace one of your stars.
