Officials in Grand Blanc, Michigan, identified Thomas Jacob Sanford as the suspected gunman in the shooting at the Church of Latter-day Saints.

Grand Blanc Police Chief William Renye said Sanford, 40, of Burton, allegedly crashed into the church at 10:25 a.m. and was “neutralized” at 10:33 a.m. in the church’s parking lot.

Additionally, Renye confirmed the status of the eight victims still alive, seven of whom are in stable condition and one of whom is in critical condition. Police confirmed earlier Sunday that two victims have died , one of whom died at a local hospital.
