MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin volleyball keeps on rolling, as the Badgers beat Iowa in straight sets on Sunday afternoon in Iowa City.
Wisconsin beat Iowa (25-16, 25-14, 25-16) notching the Badgers' second sweep of the weekend, and head coach Kelly Sheffield's 600th win of his career.
In set one, the Badgers (9-1) took advantage of a hot start to build an early cushion—putting together a 6-0 burst right away against the Hawkeyes (10-4) with the serving run of libero Kristen Simon, who tallied an ace in the process. Just two rallies later, UW began an 8-0 run, highlighted by a pair of kills turned in by outside hitter Mimi Colyer.
The Badgers and Hawkeyes traded points back and forth before Madison Quest and Colyer helped Wisconsin earn a victory in set one.
