James Gunn, the co-CEO of DC Studios, and the director of the recent feature Superman, is embarking on a new mission. The future of the DC Universe involves expanding the league of superheroes under his new direction, and this includes recasting some of the beloved characters from the DC Comics universe. There's no more important decision than deciding who will play the Batman in this new timeline, but as Gunn himself has said, not everything he does has to do with scouting. This includes watching one of TV's most popular shows, the Taylor Sheridan prequel to Yellowstone, 1923.
