After the Tigers clinched a playoff berth Saturday with just their third victory since Sept. 10 and then had the gall to celebrate, you would have thought they’d brought streamers and confetti to a funeral.

Social media delivered its usual masterclass in cynicism.

“Zero chance in postseason if ur happy enough to celebrate that catastrophe.”
