GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Josh Dillon lives next to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel in Grand Blanc Township, the scene of a deadly shooting Sunday where police say the gunman set the building ablaze after firing into a crowd of worshippers.
He told News 8 he was watching a football game when heard an unusual amount of sirens drive past his house. Officers with long guns who had gathered outside told him it was an active shooter situation.
“It just immediately made me kind of panic. Because I’m like, should I take off? And he told me there’s a fire going on and I saw the flames and I’m like or, should I save stuff in my house? And I was a little bit like, I don’t know what I should do,” Dillon said.
The suspect, identified by police as 40-year-old Thomas
