GROVE CITY, Pa. - Police cleared the Grove City College campus Sunday evening after a report of a man with a gun at the campus library, which law enforcement officials believe was a “swatting” incident.
Grove City Police responded to the Henry Buhl Library around 3:55 p.m. after receiving a call from an unknown person reporting an armed individual. The library was evacuated, and a shelter-in-place order was issued for students.
After an initial search of the library found no threat, the search expanded to the entire campus and surrounding area. The Grove City Police Department received assistance from Grove City College Campus Safety, the Pennsylvania State Police, Mercer County Critical Incident Response Team, Mercer Borough Police, Slippery Rock Borough Police Department and Westminst
