TORONTO - Tom’s Magic won the $400,000 Breeders’ Stakes on Sunday, the final jewel in the OLG Canadian Triple Crown.
It was one better than a hard-charging second in The King’s Plate, the first race in the thoroughbred trilogy.
Mansetti won the 166th edition of The King’s Plate on Aug. 16 and Runaway Again took the Prince of Wales Stakes on Sept. 9.
The final time was two minutes, 31.80 seconds.
The colt is owned by CJ Thoroughbreds and Mo Speed Racing.
D’aurum and Ciunas were the early leaders on Sunday at Woodbine Racetrack, but Tom's Magic pressed after three-quarters.
