DUBLIN -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Skylar Thompson was jumped and robbed in Dublin on Friday night, according to Tom Pelissero.

Steelers team spokesman Burt Lauten released a statement on the incident.

“We are aware of a situation involving Skylar Thompson on Friday night in Dublin. We will have no further comment at this time as we are working with NFL security to gather more information regarding the incident,” Lauten said.

The Irish Times added some context to the report. Thompson was in the area near the Temple Bar in center of Dublin City. It happened at 2:30 a.m., according to the report, which states that Thompson was jumped by a ‘group of males.’
