Verna Hospitality has opened two restaurant concepts in the former Cafe Coco space in Midtown.
Located at 210 Louise Ave. , Verna Café & Bar, an all-day café, serves Japanese-Cajun comfort food. Connie’s offers simple food options including beef or vegan hot dogs or the Kani Dog (crab rangoon, sriracha, sesame, green onion).
Verna Café & Bar operates in the front of the shared space, offering signature house cocktails and with an interior inspired by Japanese design concepts. Tucked in the back of the space, Connie’s is billed as a late-night destination. Each concept has a separate entrance, with the two connected by a hallway.
These concepts come from Verna Hospitality, founded by local industry veterans Beau Gaultier and Connor Bloem.
