CHEMUNG, N.Y. (WENY) -- New York State Police say they are currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred earlier Sunday in the town of Chemung. According to police, the incident happened in the town on Rotary Road.

An investigation is active and ongoing. However, no additional details on the incident have been provided at this time.

NYSP adds that further information will be released as it becomes appropriate.
