MURRAY – In the last several days, Murray-Calloway County Hospital patients have received letters in the mail informing them of an outside company’s security breach that might have involved their personal data.

In a news release, MCCH said it was recently notified by Blue & Company, LLC (Blue & Co.) of a data security incident that may have involved certain information entrusted to them. Blue & Co. is a financial consulting firm that provides auditing services to the hospital, MCCH said.

“According to Blue & Co., on November 7, 2024, an unauthorized party briefly gained access to one of their systems,” MCCH said in the release. “Upon discovery, Blue & Co. secured the system, engaged cybersecurity experts, and conducted an investigation.
