Canajoharie Fire Department receives grant for safety gear

CANAJOHARIE — Canajoharie volunteer firefighters will soon be better equipped to keep their community and themselves safe.

A $158,400 grant is allowing the department to purchase 33 sets of personal protective equipment for firefighters, according to Fire Chief Frank Nestle.
