LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch could be seen across the Las Vegas valley Sunday evening as a bright streak painted the valley sky.

The launch took place at Vandenberg Space Force Base in Santa Barbara County, California, around 7 p.m., but could be seen in Las Vegas and surrounding areas.

The Falcon 9 rocket carried a new stack of 28 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit. The launch successfully reached space in just under minutes and the Falcon's upper stage booster was on track to deploy the broadband internet relays (Starlink Group 11-20) about an hour after leaving the ground, according to SpaceX. • SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch on September 28, 2025 seen from Las Vegas (Courtesy of John Solvie) • SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch on September 28, 2025 seen fr
