LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Louisville Metro Police served a search warrant in Newburg Friday evening and said they found unlawfully possessed firearms, marijuana, high-purity cocaine, and a pound of fentanyl.

Police said they executed the search warrant, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, around 6 p.m. in the 5000 block of Yew Lane.

The search uncovered two unlawfully possessed firearms, 5.26 ounces of high-purity cocaine, 8 ounces of marijuana, and one pound of pure fentanyl, police said.

According to a post made by LMPD regarding the seizure, one pound of fentanyl is enough to kill 36% of Jefferson County residents, or roughly 225,000 people.
