PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- State Rep. Robert Craven, a veteran of the General Assembly and a former state prosecutor, announced Monday he will enter the Democratic primary to succeed term-limited Attorney General Peter Neronha.
Craven used a two-minute kickoff video to tell voters he would stand up to the Trump administration and protect Rhode Islanders during what he described as "unprecedented times."
"As the Trump administration escalates its attacks on Rhode Island -- gutting health care, slashing school funding, ending clean energy programs, killing jobs, seizing people on our streets, defying the law -- we need an attorney general who is tested, with the guts to fight and the experience to win," he said.
