"Stranger Things" came out almost a decade ago, but its fifth and final season is being released this year. For reference, the entire three seasons of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" aired betwen the 4th and 5th season gap of "Stranger Things," as someone on Twitter pointed out.

In an interview with Variety, the Duffer brothers defended the long wait between seasons.

“I get fatigued watching 20-episode seasons,” Matt Duffer said. “We didn’t grow up interested in any of that. We only watched movies. That’s the weird thing that we ended up in TV, because we had almost zero interest in television.”

He also said, “If TV shows come out every year, it’s diminishing return. I like the buildup.”

ONTD, do you think TV shows that have long gaps are better?
