Selena Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefey, has slammed a report suggesting she was "shattered" over one aspect of her daughter's wedding.
The actress-singer tied the knot with music producer Benny Blanco, real name Benjamin Levin, at a venue in California on Saturday.
Shortly after the star-studded ceremony took place, editors at the Daily Mail alleged Mandy and her husband, Brian Teefey, were "shocked" that Selena chose to have her grandfather, David Michael Cornett, walk her down the aisle.
However, the Wondermind founder later responded to an Instagram post about the report.
"This is ludacris (sic)! It was heartwarming him walk her down the aisle!" she replied.
In addition, Mandy reposted some of the snaps Selena and Benny had shared from their big day and added the caption, "Sunday kind of love".
"What a perfect celebration for the most kick a*s couple I know! The evening couldn't have been more beautiful and perfect! Absolutely flawless!" the 49-year-old continued. "All my love to my beautiful daughter @selenagomez and to the greatest son in law @itsbennyblanco!!! It was a fairytale come true and it was beyond heartwarming watching my father walk her down the aisle!!!"
Meanwhile, Benny uploaded four candid snaps from the nuptials and gushed over his bride.
"I married a real life disney princess (sic)," he exclaimed.
According to People, Mandy and Brian gave speeches at the wedding, as did Benny's parents, Sandra and Andrew Levin.
Additionally, editors at the outlet reported that Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran were among the celebrities who addressed the guests.
"At the reception, everyone was letting loose and celebrating them well into the night. The vibe was so much fun," a source stated. "They were glowing all night, and both Selena and Benny couldn't stop smiling. There was so much love in the room."
