Srinagar, Sep 29: Jammu and Kashmir Police today arrested a notorious fraudster and proclaimed offender from Sopore, bringing an end to years of evasion.

The accused, identified as Zubair Ahmad Ganie alias Pina and Mansoor Ganie, a resident of Rohama Rafiabad, was wanted in multiple fraud and cheating cases. Police said he was facing 19 non-bailable warrants issued by courts across Baramulla, Budgam, Kupwara, Anantnag, Pulwama, Srinagar, and Kulgam.

Officials added that Ganie had also been declared a proclaimed offender in four cases by different courts, including the Court of JMIC Dangiwacha. Despite repeated legal action, he had managed to evade arrest for years.
