Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Monday launched a scathing attack on the BJP, accusing it of resorting to “Vote Chori” (vote theft) to influence elections.

The Congress leader was responding to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s assertion that the NDA would win more than 160 out of 243 seats in the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls. He alleged that electoral malpractice has now become the BJP’s defining political strategy.

“In education, VC stands for Vice Chancellor. In the world of start-ups, VC stands for Venture Capital. In the military, VC is Vir Chakra. But now we have a new kind of VC that is defining our politics. Vote Chori,” Ramesh said in a post on handle X.
