The Student Government Association at Doña Ana Community College will host a Suicide Prevention 5K Walk & Run at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at the Espina campus, 3400 S. Espina St. in Las Cruces.

Check-in begins at 8 a.m. Pre-registration is $20, while current DACC students can participate at no cost. The registration fee increases to $30 on the day of the event.

The first 100 participants will receive a free T-shirt.

Proceeds will benefit the Las Cruces Suicide Prevention Task Force, according to a community announcement.
