In the Nov. 4 general election, voters in Monroe County have seven contested races. The Monroe News sent questionnaires to the candidates in the contested races.

In Petersburg, four candidates are vying for three city council seats. They are Dawn Cilley, Melissa Gibson Hess, Stella Kirby and Lisa Walters.

In-person voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4. Absentee ballots may be requested from local clerks.
