Durga Puja Bank Holidays: Banks across India will remain shut on several days between late September and early October 2025 on account of Durga Puja, Navratri, Gandhi Jayanti, and other regional festivals. As per the RBI’s holiday calendar, banks observe both nationwide holidays and state-specific festivals, along with regular weekly offs on the second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays.
This year, September 29 has been declared a holiday in Agartala, Kolkata, and Guwahati for Maha Saptami, the seventh day of Durga Puja.
On September 30 , branches in cities such as Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Patna, Ranchi, and others will remain closed for Maha Ashtami or Durga Ashtami.
